For more than 45 years, Benz Airborne, founded by Roy Coleman Jr. – aircraft industry veteran, inventor, and pilot with multiple fixed-wing and rotorcraft ratings, as well as a member of an aviation pioneering family, has been committed to improving the performance, reliability and safety of aircraft through the development and distribution of high-quality products using state-of-the-art technology and innovative designs by world-class engineers and our industry leading partners.
During his career, Coleman logged more than 15,000 hours flying jets, turbine engine aircraft, helicopters, seaplanes and numerous other fixed wing aircraft. As a developer, he made significant contributions to the aircraft industry, including safety of flight. Many of the products that he helped develop can be seen on just about every modern aircraft flying today. He held several U.S. Patents for his innovations and numerous product developments. Today, his legacy lives on at Benz Airborne. We have decades of aviation experience with a team of experts who understand aircraft and the complexities involved in the distribution of parts and support of the aftermarket, as well as the FAA STC, PMA, DER Repair and 8130-3 Certification processes.
Benz Airborne provides 24/7 AOG support, as well as MRO and expedited test and certification services for the aircraft components we distribute. We stock parts and manage inventory to provide our AOG customers with quick turn-around times to keep them in the air. Our FAA-approved Repair Station includes a modern test facility and the trained technical support necessary to accelerate the test and certification process with FAA DARs on staff, who issue FAA 8130-3 tags for parts that test and prove airworthy. Our expedited test facility often responds to our customers within 48 hours, if not the same day with the results of their parts. Furthermore, Benz Airborne holds several STCs, PMAs, and DER Repair solutions for aircraft modifications, component overhauls, and hard to find parts, all in an effort to service our aftermarket customers with exceptional products and technical support for the parts we distribute with 80+ Aerospace Engineers who can address most aircraft issues from tip to tail.
